I have seen the great reviews from some and the bad by others... I am now returning my third P4!!!! First one did the firmware upgrade resulting in severe gimbal tilt, all calibrations (compass, IMU and Gimbal) performed after the firmware update with no improvement. Loss of altitude occurred when drone was about 1200 yards away and fortunately stopped finally just before impact. Brought the drone back immediately after that, landed it and returned it. Drone #2 had a problem with one of the arms and casing that caused propeller contact with the body so back that one went..BTW thanks Amazon for shipping it to me in 2 days, but shipping it back to you in 7 days then taking another 3 days to refund. Drone #3.. So I get the new drone and I am thinking 3rd times the charm...more like a nightmare. I did the firmware upgrade,not once but twice, that now supposedly fixes the altitude loss issues and HDR video modes. Complete recalibration of all the sensors again and out we go for the maiden voyage!! Within 3 minutes we have the first flyaway, an uncontrollable ascent from 50 feet to over 250 feet all the while with full sustained down control commands being given through the controller. My only recourse was to try the Return to Home button. The drone responded and came down erratically and very rapid and as it got closer I was able to regain control and landed it. After checking the flight record I noticed 3 complete loss of GPS signals each 1 second in duration (see photos)..now I have seen GPS degradation before but 16 satellites one second, none the next then 16 a second later. Contact DJI and they have me hook up the drone to the computer to check the firmware. I am shocked when the computer says I have to upgrade the firmware but shows the upgrade version as the current version, so we upgrade it again twice. Out to fly the second time, still get the loss of GPS signal but everything is looking good until we come to a hover an the YO-YO starts, 10 feet 40 feet no control input, wait I thought the firmware update was supposed to fix this. So the second call to DJI now I am told it must be the area I am flying in...REALLY an open field with no power lines, oh wait maybe it's that secret nuke reactor under my neighborhood...DJI WHERE ARE YOU GETTING YOUR TECH SUPPORT??? So again we go back and look at the firmware...WHAT you need to upgrade the firmware again?? So do the upgrade do the sensors AGAIN, and for grins take the drone to a different place to test it.....and....same issue GPS gone 3 times...so it is going back.. So...do you feel lucky..well do yah
