The near death experience is amazing and beautiful. The choice to have the second part of each chapter dedicated to a minister applying scripture and dogma to the experience is awful. In reading Jim’s words, I felt expanded and filled with wonder. The minister’s words feel like a bowing ball being dropped 10 stories down and thunking. He even talks about sin in regards to this experience - really?? I ended up skipping the religious interpretation and allowing the experience to speak for itself.
