Worked for about 4 months, then my wife and I leave for a weekend and come back to find both of our cats acting crazy. The food dish was empty, but we leave it that way (we feed them 4 times a day with the feeder). On a whim I made sure to check on the feeder during the next scheduled feeding; this is when I discovered that it was no longer dropping food. I checked out the food slot, checked out the food that was in the hopper, and I couldn't find anything that would explain why the Recording would trigger, but the food wouldn't drop. I triggered the feeding time several more times in a row before I became convinced that the feeder was no longer working. But when I reached out to the seller they refused to refund or replace the product unless I paid for shipping to send it back because it was after the 1 month refund window. This is an $80 food dish that does ONE thing, it needs to be able to do that for more than 4 months. Because I have Prime, I reached out to Amazon and was able to get a partial refund... but I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase this product and I will be more careful about making purchases like this in the future as a result.
