I bought this mixer for the sturdiness of it as I wanted something rock solid for use in our home for the next 20 years. Ten months of normal home use (bread one time a week, cookies, etc) and the agitator shaft will no longer rotate. I called the local Hobart service center which said 1) they don’t repair home-use and 2) items purchased online do not qualify for warranty support. It is truly a shame that I fell for their sturdiness/build quality marketing as I could have purchased five Kitchen Aid mixers for the price of what is now a very heavy paperweight.
