UPDATE: Second one did not work. (Hmmm Only lasted 1 year 4 months with respect to the first one).
After rather minimal usage, the 4840 only lasted 4 months beyond factory warranty. Just ordered another but this time I bought the extended warranty. Suggest same to anyone who may read this. UPDATE: Bought new 4840 and guess what, will not vacuum seal. Another lose of meat, sent first one back to factory. This one I am returning, however, it cost less than the meat I lost.
