Fraud by EBL - 18650 Batteries are 1027/1015 mAh, not 3000mAh
I just purchased the EBL 18650 Battery Lithium-ion 3000mAh 3.7V Low Self Discharge Rechargeable Batteries, 4 Counts directly from EBL. As my screenshots show, these 18650 lithium-ion batteries do not produce anywhere near the claimed 3000 mAh. They actually will contain 1027 mAh and 1015 mAh when fully charged. This, in my opinion, is fraud. I am returning these batteries is defective, and will not be buying from EBL again.
UPDATE 2017-02-17 - EBL disputed my review and sent me a new pack of EBL 18650 Battery Lithium-ion 3000mAh 3.7V Low Self Discharge Rechargeable Batteries, 4 Count 18650 batteries after I returned the original set I purchased. As with the first set, I gave them two days to acclimate to the house temperature before I tested them. I fully drained whatever charge was in them, then fully recharged them, then fully drained them once again. Then I did the recharge that I measured. This set of batteries was once again NOT anywhere near the 3000 mAh they promised. In fact, while these batteries did achieve twice what my first set did (1027 mAh and 1015 mAh), they still only rated at 2273 mAh and 2299 mAh, which is 75% of the rating that EBL claims (as compared to 33% with the first set). If these are 2200 mAh, sell them as 2200 mAh 18650 batteries. Selling them as something more than 25% more than they are in reality is fraud. While I appreciate EBL sending me these new batteries, they are simply too weak to be used in the process I needed them for.
Additionally, these 18650 batteries only hold their charge roughly 2 hours in my draining application that i use for testing. My other "generic" batteries last almost 5 hours in the same drain test application and score roughly the same mAh ratings as these. Either something is wrong with the battery itself or its protective matrix. Either way, they ARE NOT 3000 mAh.
I will not be purchasing more 18650s from EBL.
2017-02-18 -- EBL continues to send me numerous emails demanding, in the nicest way, that I change their rating from ONE STAR. The 18650 do not achieve anywhere near the rating they have listed on them. I do not understand why other reviewers are "ok" with getting only 33% to 75% of what they paid for. I however am not satisfied and I will not change my rating - you hear me EBL - stop spamming me.
