We had guests coming to visit for a while who are older and prefer to cook eggs each morning. They like to time their eggs with this type of timer. Although this timer looks just like the old fashioned ones the time it keeps is not even close to being accurate. When the timer is set per the instructions to turn past 45 minutes then turn back to your desired time, it is just way off. For instance when set properly to 5 minutes the bell actually alarms approximately 1 1/2 to 2 minutes prior to the end of the 5 minute period. Then it keeps ticking for the remainder period of time. This timer is basically useless and a waste of money. If I can return it without paying to ship it back I will. Don't waste your money or TIME on this one.
