Too short and pointy
Plunging is the one thing that everyone has to do at some point and (almost) no one enjoys (I'm sure someone out there enjoys it). Sadly, with older toilets, it's something I have to do more often than I would like. I had an old wooden plunger for a long time and it worked well. Eventually, the plunger part didn't seal very well and I had to get a new plunger, so I chose this one.
Initially, I like how it worked. It had a good seal and didn't deform. Where I found issues is when I had stubborn plugs and had to use this for an extended period of time. Because the handle is so short, I would grab the top of the plunger for leverage. The problem is the top is rather pointy. It's not "make you bleed" pointy, but it's "poking your hand till it hurts" pointy. I used it for a month than I tossed it to the curb like an out of date boy-band.
The tip matters just as much as the plunger part. You need long plunger for leverage and a top with a good grip that won't poke your hand.
