The skirt goes quite a bit below your knees and I'm 5'8". It does feel super soft and really comfortable on. It feels like jersey knit. The problem is that the material is super thin and shows everything. As you can see in my picture I have a white tank top on that I tucked in so you can compare. The skirt shows the tank and literally shows every single freckle or dimple on your body. It hides nothing at all. I might be willing to try this skirt in a darker color but I won't because there's other skirts I already know I like on Amazon so I'll stick to those. I also think the skirt is a little longer than I'd like and the rouching looks too bunched up.
