I was so disheartened after reading this book that I wanted to rush immediately to give it a 1star review. I just paid almost $22 for a book that was almost all but worthless. However, I took the time to calm down and reread it to see if I was missing something. I was missing a lot…of good usable information that is. It’s not in the book. There are many instances where the author(s) say they’ll tell us later, but I can’t find the “later” in the book. There are also times they tell you to check out their website. If I’m going to do that for free why buy the book? From what it looks like to me the author(s) did not “write” this book. It looks more like they took 1 or 2 paragraph blurbs from their blog/websit/youtube channel and pasted them on pages in a haphazard fashion. The blurbs are different fonts/sizes, etc. and make for very disorderly reading. There are a few nuggets of usable information, but they too tend to be teasers and not what the book promised. Which is that they did all the research and had the answers for the readers. In most cases they tell you to test and research to get the best tasting or best deal. Not a bad idea on the tasting but give me an idea of cost so I know which I wouldn’t even try. I would agree with another reviewer that talked about the authors patting themselves on the back too much. It came off as the snobby cheer leader whose top priority was to make themselves look good and secondly to cheer on the players (readers.) If you have never given any, or even much, thought to prepping or food storage then this book might give you some incentive to start but it’s not going to give you too much knowledge on how. In fact, it could leave you even more confused. I bought the author(s) other book “I Can’t Believe It’s Food Storage!” and that book is written in a much better format and has much better information. I absolutely feel it was worth the price and that will become one of my go to cookbooks. In conclusion buy “I Can’t Believe It’s Food Storage!” NOT “Store This Not That!.” If as they say in the book “you want more bang for your buck.”
