I opened my package to find a completely undamaged MacBook Air 11.6 inch mid 2012 laptop. Although when powered on and start up process was finished an update was required. Multiple times have I tried to update it and it always said “couldn’t verify update. Try again after restarting computer. I did as the pop up said multiple times and it never worked. Then I went to support.apple.com to chat with an adviser who tried to help to no avail. He even had his senior advisor try to help. Then he had me call a support line and a nice lady tried to help me, she even used a program to guide me through everything with her cursor on my screen. Again. No progress. So I took matters into my own hands and tried to factory reset the pc. I did it successfully up to the point of reinstalling OS C mountain lion which was the default OS on this MacBook. Come to find out it couldn’t be reinstalled because the Disk or Macintosh HD was corrupted and broken beyond repair. I still had a sliver of hope I could get it to work so I tried opening Disk Utility in the internet recovery and verified the HD. It came back saying it needed to be repaired so I clicked “repair”. Upon doing so it told me it was corrupted so bad it was unable to be repaired. DONT BUY FROM Powered by Quipt. I am attempting to get a refund now.
