This is a really good electronics tool to find the exact breaker in your breaker box in relation to the specific outlet in your building. However, the ground prong on the transmitter will eventually break off due to the poor connection inside. There is no way to take it apart to fix such a simple problem without breaking the whole plastic container as it is cemented together. I have purchased two of these for myself and they both broke at the ground prong. Three of my friends also had one of these each where they had the same breakage problem. I contacted the company about this, where in a nice way they said, "oh well, too bad, good luck and just buy another one." I have other Extech equipment which I am satisfied with, but not with this particular item....it is manufactured poorly and the company doesn't seem to care. I highly recommend at looking at another company that has something similar.
