Look, this may well be a value for someone looking to watch videos or game, but I bought this for my office and it was terrible. TERRIBLE. My thinking was that one monitor to replace two would consolidate cords, clear up some clutter, and remove the middle bezel between the two monitors. Well, not so much. First, my older desktop could not connect to the display port connection on the monitor for some reason. It might have been my computer, but that was a bummer, because I had to use the HDMI that came with, and it sucked. In terms of use, I spent about 30 minutes messing around with it to see if I could perfect it, but to no avail. The resolution for gaming and video was fine, but for looking at spreadsheets, word docs, and mail, all of the text was pixelated to the point where I could not function without getting a major headache and getting the cold sweats. I boxed it back up. They really should say that for general use, this won't necessarily work. It didn't.
