Very, very seldom do I refuse to finish a book; however, this is one of those times. First of all, nobody told me that this was Christian fiction - or if they did, I missed it. For those of you who don't want a large portion of preaching with your reading - forget this one. Then, it is written like I would imagine a not too talented tenth grader would write. (I know, this coming from someone who has never written a word - so be it.) The "bones" of this novel are just too apparent. It's like someone is standing by the author with a manual and saying, "Okay, now add a little backstory. Okay, now a little emotion here." I realize this is a debut novel - maybe this author will become more proficient. I'll never know. So, there it goes off my Kindle. "Wait a minute", I say to myself, "you don't know what happened to Robin; you don't know if Sam will be cured." And I reply "No, I don't. I don't care."
