The "removable arm rests" are more like rectangular pillows that just sit or slide wherever you rest them. They look nice but can't be used as armrests because there's nothing to hold them in place and they just slide onto the floor. The futon looks nice but is suprisingly uncomfortable to sit on. It's extremely low to the ground which I thought would be great since it's for a kids' playroom, only it's like sitting on a stool and my kids slide off onto the floor along with those "arm rests". We did come up with an innovative way to sit on it comfortably. On the plus side, shipping was super fast.
