I've tried several of these "Headlight Restoration" products on Amazon. I won't fault Amazon as they just provide an outlet for the vendors, BUT, every single one of the products I've bought produced less than expected results. I have bought 1-step and 2 step and even a 3 step product, and the headlight lens was still "unacceptable". Tooth paste contains a extremely fine polishing grit.... so I resorted back to the old fashioned Tooth Paste method, and lo and behold, spectacular results. I used the iconic Red and White Colgate Tube with "Whitening" tube, applied a bit to a paper towel and started rubbing. Intermittently I would flick a little bit of water on it and continue to rub-a-dub. Took less than 5 minutes. It produced a clarity that none of the other "windshield" products had produced. Maybe, you say, I had already "Prepped" the surface before I used the Tooth Paste, but I say, No.... I have TWO headlights, one I used all the "commercial stuff" on, and the other was strictly the toothpaste..... so I am convinced, the tooth paste is the way to go. All I can say is I probably "wasted" $$$ 40-50 $$$ on stuff, that didn't do the job as well as good old fashioned tooth paste and elbow grease.
