Let Down by a trusted Company - Big Fish
I am a respectable middle-aged working Mother. I have a really demanding job and I like to unwind in the evening playing computer games. I have been a Big Fish customer for many years because they have always been safe, virus free, completely transparent with no hidden fees. In short, brilliant - if it comes from Big Fish, I can trust it. BF Casino particularly appealed to me, promoted to play free, I downloaded it and just like everyone else loved it immediately. However, it should come with a health warning because in just a matter of weeks, I have become as addicted as if I was going to a real casino or betting shop and handing my over my hard earned cash. I feel like I am a junkie and after talking to others on chat areas in BF Casino, I am not alone. I have also been shocked at the unscrupulous behavior of my trusteded Big Fish. The initial free chips runs out very quickly, there are free daily chips which are used up in minutes. You therefore have no option but to buy chips from one of the BF packages or resort to begging for chips from your virtual friends. BF takes you through a roller coaster of big wins which is really exciting and being able to chat and make friends with the other players which can be intoxicating. When you run out of money, you have a choice buying new chips or of taking up the highly unpopular role of 'squatting' which is spending as little as you dare while you wait for a player to hit a 'scatter' which gives them bonus chips and a proportion of this win is shared out amongst the other players. The bigger the win, the higher the amount of scatters that is shared amongst all. Squatters are not looked upon favourable by the majority, so who wants to be one - not me! So I by more chips, lose them and buy yet more. BF has promotion days where it offers double, triple or sometimes four times worth of the chips packages for the price of a single package. This is really appealing for the day or days the promotion runs. You can stock up with millions of chips and have so much to play with you are likely to have billions in no time - great! Wrong - during the promotion periods, BF deviously alters the game so that all you do is lose. There are very little oppotunties to win during promotion times and so you go back for more and more. If that was not bad enough, you are likely to enounter the playroom bullies. These are people who are either squatters or just want to earn more morney, sorry chips, from your contribution. So they will heckle you and call you a 'non-team player' or 'not playing fairly' if you do not increase your bet to the maximum allowed. Great if you win, disaster if you don't. The social pressure of not being a team player puts you under pressure to bet with higher amounts than you intended because we all want to be considered nice and decent people and above all 'team players'. These bullies feed off this and start calling you bad things if you do not go along with it. What is BF doing to protect its players from this - nothing! It has a report button which is intended to block that person's chat should you feel abused, but it only blocks it from your view. BF say if a player receives enough of these they will take action - how many is enough- 1, 10, 100???? What about the obvious sleazy and dubious pictures that are added to avators. I have never seen any indication that one of these has been blocked. I am painting a very bad picture. so why I don't just stop playing and delete the app. BECAUSE I AM NOW AN ADDICT - thanks to Big Fish. It is the first thing I do before I go to work, when I get home and when I go to bed. PLEASE, please learn from the endless reviews saying the same thing. Big Fish does not care about its customers, it is just another way for them to make money off the back of people's weakness, vulnerability or loneliness - Shame on Big Fish!
