I submitted a 3-star review upon opening the box. After using this sharpener, I came back to revise my 'review'. If It was possible to give a negative star, I would. I have Lansky, Tormek, Japanese wet stones, Sharp-Maker, DMT Diamond plates, WorkSharp Ken Onion and WorkSharp Original. That being said ................ I thought this was going to be an OK starter kit. The concept is good. The Achilles Heal is lack of rigidity The knife clamp easily moves during the sharpening process. After all, it is not mechanically attached to the frame, but held with a couple magnets This will completely ruin the secondary bevel on your blade. I have 4 other sharpening systems from Work Sharp Their other products have been great This item will harm your blade. Don't Buy this unit until Work Sharp gets some bugs worked out There are plenty of other sharpener systems out there which actually work. From the $1,000 Tormek to the Spyderco Sharp-Maker, .....just my 2 cents worth
