The product box has a WARNING Not to use in recessed light fixture. This was not posted in the product description and can only be found on the box the light bulb came in. If your house burns down I hope you have insurance because you have been warned not to install it in a recessed light fixture. Sadly there really aren't any other good places that this type and size of bulb is useful for. I'm not sure why they would even sell a light bulb like this.
