Like a duck to water...
My 2 year old son was a bit scared to sit on it at first, but we sat it in the middle of the family room, it was only a matter of time. At first, he kicked the tires then stepped back to see what it would do. Next thing we knew he's sitting on it and yelling "Chhoooo chhhoooo". Within minutes he understood steering around corners and how to push himself using his feet. He has been in the 90th percentile in height for his age from his first ped visit, but he still isn't tall enough to properly reach the pedals. We couldn't get him off of it for 90 minutes.
Why two stars if he enjoyed it so much? The shape of the front forks are poorly designed. To make it worse, the pedals have a little lip to prevent a foot from sliding off and away from the trike, but there is no inside lip preventing a foot from slipping inward. Within minutes he had one of his feet wedged between the fork and pedal. He wasn't going fast so it didn't hurt him. However, I can see where this could easily cause an injury.
Pros: Seems sturdy and durable. Simple basic trike for a toddler. Chhooo chhooo.
Cons: Front fork design causes a safety issue. No inside lip on pedal increasing the risk of a foot slipping between the fork and pedal. Front pedals too far forward (from seat).
Note: I've never posted a customer picture before, but I will try to post one of the front fork and pedal so you can decide for yourself.
