Motorola will NOT honor the warranty. I purchased the t260 two pack. One of the two-way radios stopped charging after 3 months. The battery was still good but it would not charge in the defective radio. I wrote to the company and they responded that the radios are considered “disposable” and suggested I purchase a business model. “The reason you are having these issues is because these radios are made for recreational purposes. They may not handle heavy use. We do have a whole department on business radios and they will meet your needs. You may use these t200 radios at your convenience but then they become disposable.” My husband and I used the radios for communication across our 20 acre property on which we garden fruits & vegetables and maple syrup for our own use; we are not in business, we sell nothing, we are retired people. Using the radios for talking does not seem like heavy use. Motorola thinks I will purchase more expensive products from them when they don’t even honor the warranty for their cheaper model. NO. I won’t be buying Motorola products ever again. I am sad because the radios were perfect for our communication use. Not great but good enough for us.
