PRO: This baby doesn't fool around. I make smoothies often and it has no problem with frozen fruit pieces nor ice chips. CON The gasket of the blade attachment is very deep into the lid. It is imperative to immediately wash the lid with a vigorous flushing of hot water right away when you remove it. I also occasionally soak it in white vinegar. Otherwise the yogurt or small food bits cause a sour smell. UPDATE: 11/16/15 ....the gasket grew nasty gross disgusting in spite of my diligent efforts to keep it clean. It's too late to return it to amazon. Ninjakitchens is sending me a replacement blade attachment. "You are not supposed to remove the gasket to clean it". But they offered no resolution for the design flaw. I don't want to get sick from this machine. UPDATE APRIL 2016: Received the replacement blade attachment and in spite of fastidious efforts (washing immediately, brushing out with vinegar), the same thing occurred. I have added more photos to show what happened when I finally removed the gasket from the second one. Do you want this for your smoothies????
