Nice warm light. 3000k. Other bulbs like this that I've seen are all 6000k. I like warm
It's still a bit too early to know for sure, but these lights put out a warm light (3000K) which I like, and are about as bright as an old 60 watt incandescent bulb. I did try to put one in a chandelier in my dining room and it wouldn't work. Too many other light bulbs in it, and even though they are all LED, when you turn the light switch off, they give enough resistance to fool the bulb into thinking it's a power failure and it comes on. That's ok though. It is how they work. I put one in a 3 light fixture in my bathroom and it works fine. For anyone who has tried these and thinks they aren't working because they unplug their lamp and it doesn't come on... (I see that in reviews on these kinds of lights all the time), they don't work that way. When you have a power failure in your house, and the lamp is plugged in, and light switch is turned on, the light actually sees other things in other areas of your house that create a large resistance across the light bulb. That's what turns it on. Unplugging a table lamp does not give this resistance and the bulb just thinks the power switch is turned off. To test it, take the bulb out and screw it into the hook / socket that came with it, and push the switch. If the light comes on, it works. I do have a slight concern because the bulb does get quite warm. I won't say hot because you can still touch it. The heat is near the base. So far it's been fine, but will watch this since this is where the battery and electronics are located. ***** Product Update ***** I had to reduce my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. I liked these bulbs so much that I purchased more .. a 4 pack this time. Unfortunately 2 of the four bulbs started to flicker really bad. 3 days after the return window closed. Not sure how to contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
