The product listing and the features/product details on the outside of the box FALSELY present this as a device that will cool a small room such as a living room kitchen, or bedroom. However, once you open the box the inside flap has additional information "For Best Results" that explain you should be directly in front of the device. I decided to give it a go anyway and it actually cools about 1 foot directly in front of the device. Additionally, it doesn't cool the air as well as my Vornado fans. The water in the resevoir also evaporate quickly. I had to refill it with about 32 oz of water about every 2-3 hours. The as seen on TV commercial also eludes to being able to use this to cool a room so you don't have to run your central air through the entire house. Well that is just wrong/false as well! Bottom line, don't bother with this unless you want an interesting nightlight as that is all it is really good for. Returning this to Amazon.
