I thought I was buying a.book about the history of food systems. Instead I ended up reading a treatise on the evils of white European males and America. Rife with distorted historical inaccuracies, it painted a simplified picture of an innocent, bucolic world that white males ruined with their behavior. All while trying to pretend to be a book about food and agriculture. I regret this purchase.
