Maybe I'll adjust to how badly this functions; it has some work-arounds. Right now I just hope to get enough use from it that I don't feel I wasted the money, before I replace it with something that works better. I didn't buy this because it was cheap but because it was compact and the complaints were no more numerous than for similar players. But it does not read discs well. It never goes straight to menu but is apt to begin playing at any point in the disc, feature or extras. It won't go to the menu until it's played something incorrectly for about a half-minute then you can make it go to the menu, then start the movie from the beginning. On episode discs, it sometimes won't go to the episodes menu at all. Really the first effed up dvd player I've ever used, and I'd assess it as a piece of junk. The picture quality however is fine once you get the crazy malfunctions to do what you needed to watch the film.
