Very inconsistent
If you don't program it at all, it only shows your weight (not calories or BMI), which I'm very happy about.
I'm itching to take a star off because of how long it takes to recalibrate, 19 seconds, which I believe I should do most days. My (very) old scale required recalibration every use, but took maybe a second (with a light foot tap). This one seems to be intended to be rarely recalibrated, only when you move it (and requires fully stepping on it with one foot). The problem is, at my house, most days my roomba will have bumped it. If I get a second one for my girlfriend's house, I'll need to keep it in a closet. I feel like it mostly takes so long because I'm not expected to do it often - I'm mostly waiting for it to turn back off. The reason I have not yet taken a star off is because I wonder if the additional time results in greater accuracy?
Update: a couple days ago, my scale showed a good bit higher than I expected. Yesterday it showed what I expected.
Today, I recalibrated it (waited for it to shut off), on a wood floor, weighed myself: 217.4 pounds.
Got dressed, brushed my teeth, out of curiosity, weighed myself again: 216.5.
Took my clothes off, weighed myself again: 213.0.
Variation of 4.5 pounds within maybe 10 minutes is not okay. I would say I'm good about holding still for scales to read accurately.
Update (day 16): Again today, I put it on my bathroom's hard floor, calibrated it (waiting for it to 0 and shut off), weighed myself: 217.8 pounds. Waited for it to shut off, and immediately stepped on it again: 213.2 pounds. Variation of 4.6 pounds within seconds. I calibrated it again, then weighed myself again, and got 213.2 again.
