The suction cup mount is horrible. It worked great for about 2 months and then started failing. You attach it and it gets a great grip on the glass after you flip up the lock lover but then you come back a few hours later to the car and the mount has let go and the $250 gadget has bounced down off the dash or console or seats and is laying in the floor. I decided yesterday i was calling to complain after only 3 months old the suction cup is failing but my radar detector which is 5 years old has never fallen off like this so clearly this is a bad design. This AM i come out to take my kids to school and look at this nice dent it left in my center aluminum console in a 3 month old $80k Audi! It fell down between 9PM last night and 8:40 this am so not even 12 hours and this seems to be a daily problem now to find where the camera fell down to overnight. The other big issues that deserves the one star rating is the unit overheats if your cars lighter doesn't power down after turning the key off. The problem with overheating is it locks the unit up and you have no idea that your device isn't actually recording. I am on with CS now they will send me a new mount which i am sure based on the reviews i have read with the same problem is a temp solution and the suggestion for overheating was "just unplug it" even the CS person said he didn't like that answer either but that was what he was told by their help desk.
