Our first Hayward pump lasted 10 years, the bearings burned out in May 2014 so I order the same model from a local seller in May 2014. The bearing in it burned out in August 2016. I thought the local seller had sold me a lemon so I ordered the same model again in August 2016 (this one is the 1st one I ordered from Amazon.) We used it from late August until October 2016. Shut it down and turned it back on this May 2017. It lasted 3 more weeks! For a total of less than 3 months use. But stupid me, since I was desperate, I ordered another Hayward pool pump...1 hp this time from Amazon. Installed it May 26, 2017....and guess what, it failed November 30! No wonder Hayward only has a 90 warranty! I'm surprised they haven't reduced the warranty to 30 days. There pool pumps are getting ridiculous. No more Haywards here.
