The plastic guard would not release for cleaning, and once removed it would no longer secure in place making the product useless. In order to get the product replaced, Panasonic requires you to mail it in (on your own dime) to a facility in TX (I'm in NC) to attempt to be repaired before they will return/replace it. What are you supposed to do for beard trimming in the meantime? I guess Panasonic believes facial hair will stop growing while you wait. So, regardless, you have to buy something else making the repair/replacement process completely useless. It's a scam. Don't buy Panasonic.
