WYZE Won't connect to most modern routers, web is full of complaints , zero support, waste of time
Have very common Orbi router. Every 2.4 device connects with it but any WYZE product. Was on hold for 4 hours trying to reach WYZE, after 1 hr on hold. Wyze call went dead. Got email today saying they are getting too many complaints to respond to. JUNK. Don't waste your time. If you have a years old easy for burglar to hack 2.4 router , this might work. If your security is up to date , don't waste your time. Ring, and Nest and all the others network instantly without headachs It's wise to avoid WYZE.
UPDATE: Hired IT professional who took entire wireless down , re installed everything, did internal adjustments and Wyze camera on the wifi. Then camera would not accept SD card, purchased another that MIcro Center staff tested as good. Still would not accept it. Took out another camera, that one saw it but kept failing to format the SD card. After $300 of IT professional fees invested was forced to returned cameras to seller. Micro Center employee said she had similar luck with these Cameras. At lowest sensititivity setting camera , with new facial recognition kept seeing moving faces in plants and false triggering events. . If they ever get the quality up and bugs worked out on these, they could be a good product one year, not now.
