the main reason i purchased the 20lb line was because kastking claims there line diameter is 0.18mm. i was looking for something comparable to maxcuatro (it’s a bit expensive) in the same lb line. maxcuatro’s line diameter is 0.19. i put the two lines side by side and kastking is easily almost twice a thick as maxcuatro. if you're casting a semi light lure you might struggle with distance at first since the line is a little stiff. might need some time to break it in a little. will report back on it's durability over the next week and see how it holds up with some snook/tarpon/trout abuse. ****update aug 27****** i have used KK enough over the past month and it's not for me. i thought maybe the line would loosen up and not be so stiff, that didn't happen. casting semi-heavy lures, i lose distance compared to powerpro slick and maxcuatro. that can make the difference between getting your cast in the "sweet spot" or coming up short.
