I was so excited to use it the first time. I washed the inner pot and the stirrer thoroughly with hot water and dish soap. I even run the program with water before my first use. Today I made jam and the whole batch smells horrible, it comes from the stirrer, the whole part stinks like motor oil. It is very extreme and the jam tastes extremely like this now. I‘m worried about the chemical and about our health now. Is this still save? Will this taste and smell disappear after a few uses? I can throw the jam into the trash now and wait for an answer.
