I typically NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS but after this happened to me it was the first thing I wanted to do. As you can see in the picture with this Neo Hybrid Case my BRAND NEW 5 DAY OLD S8 is severely shattered. It happened when I bent down to get water from the bottom of the grocery basket so 1 to 1.5-foot drop from my pocket!? PISSED is an understatement as you can imagine something so basic as a routine function of loading groceries in your car. Aside from this ruining my whole day, my weekend, and probably my overall opinion of the S8, this is the first time i've cracked a screen since owning a smartphone since 2007. I had a S6 Edge and dropped that numerous times without an otterbox or other rugged cases just a generic girly flowerly case. I watched several YouTube videos before making this because I had never even heard of Spigen but was the Amazon choice. The only good out of this was I purchased insurance through Geek Squad (After this experience HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT) I live in the Dallas Fort Area 2 locations Hurst and Arlington do in-store screen repairs. HOWEVER, since this phone is so new they don't even have replacement screens yet. So for my deductible, I got a brand new phone again since its so new they don't have refurbished yet. GS guy said if you are going to leave a review take a picture from a side angle to show this case doesn't have a lip high enough to withstand front drops its not raised high enough the screen protrudes more than the case. I asked other Best Buy employees what they recommended Speck since I had a phone all cracked up I said can you take it out the box so I can try it? I put it on walked to tile floor space dropped it face down making sure it would fall face down no new cracks so there you have it folks if my rant helped you great. If not oh well I feel better about it.
