The pros: Easy to install Easy to figure out and use for basic scanning The cons: After 18 months of scanning (used about 1x per month for around 10 to 20 documents) it developed a very dark streak. No amount of cleaning or troubleshooting could eliminate it. The streak occurred during use, and was not because of contamination from documents. The scanner had difficulty keeping documents aligned. Most come out slightly crooked. Any attempt to set different dpi settings would not work. It kept going back to default settings right after trying to change them. Annoying software updates "to enhance your experience." Epson, if you want to enhance my experience please make a product that works.
