Security vs Appearance. Why can't Ring customers have both?
I would love to purchase the Tamper-Proof Cover, but I have yet to, and I explain why below.  Obviously, it's a great security addition, if it actually does what it's supposed to do, which is to prevent someone from tampering with and stealing your video doorbell.  After all, the name does claim the product to be "tamper-proof".  However, using the Tamper-Proof Cover defeats the purpose of wanting to use a doorbell faceplate that has a particular color/holiday/season design, as the Tamper-Proof Cover would be blocking/covering the faceplate from view. Obviously, this is assuming the faceplate doesn't have to be taken off the doorbell first, in order for the Tamper-Proof Cover to go on. Regardless, it still defeats the purpose of wanting to be able to have both security and a nice appearance for your doorbell. I currently have the Video Doorbell 3 Plus, and I have all of the holiday/season faceplates that are compatible with that doorbell.  When I am not using one of those faceplates, I like to use the black faceplate. If Ring is going to sell the Tamper-Proof Cover, they should already be offering it with all of the same color/holiday/season design options that are offered with the faceplates for the Video Doorbell 2, 3, and 3 Plus. What would be the point of putting the Halloween or Christmas faceplate on your doorbell, if you have to take it off to use the Tamper-Proof Cover, or cover it with the Tamper-Proof Cover?  I'm very surprised Ring didn't already have a plan to address this problem, before coming out with this new product, as the solution to it is simple common sense.  I certainly hope that in the very near future, Ring will be coming out with color/holiday/season design options for the Tamper-Proof Cover.
