The unit is, for the most part, well thought out and ruggedly built. My reason for selecting this unit is that unlike most similar power stations, this one has batteries that are easy to swap and it does not need a full complement of batteries to work. The status display is well thought out and easy to understand. My one engineering complaint would be the flimsy plastic port covers that will probably break off during the first transport of the unit. I desperately wanted this unit to work for my application. Unfortunately at the end of the first charge cycle one of the batteries went into a failure mode. A phone call to customer support connected me to someone who appeared unfamiliar with this model. Two followup emails have gone unanswered. After 6 weeks I have to conclude that EGO's lack of customer support is the deal breaker.
