Wow THREE Sets -- All Faulty Left Earbud Connection Issues
Got my first set at another electronics retailer. Paired it with my Nokia 7.1 and immediately didn't work. The left earbud just constantly crackled like a bad connection. I did the firmware update. No change with the left earbud problem. It still gave no sound during music or calls, only crackling. I returned those and bought a second pair through Amazon. This second set I paired with my Pixel 3. And...I was shocked that they had the exact same issue! Returned to Amazon for a third pair and it the left earbud exhibited the same connection issues. And it's important to note the left earbud issue was occurring even BEFORE pairing with the phone. I subsequently update the firmware to 1.24 and 1.25 when Jabra released those, but it didn't have any effect on the connection issue. The left earbud connects to the right earbud, not the phone. Which explains why the crackling problem can be heard before a phone is even connected. I wanted to like these earbuds because they were somewhat comfy. It seems Jabra's quality control might be lacking. Also, I contacted Jabra support via the link provided by Jabra in another review here. It took over 48 hours to receive a response and there was another point in the email conversation where I waited 4 days for a reply from Jabra support. There was another 4-day wait while they researched the issue. So...I waited 1-week only to have them finally ask me to send the earbuds to them for further investigation. Seriously. That should have been their offer 1 week ago. It was obvious from the comments here that some of their shipped units have this problem. They should have immediately offered a replacement; not 1 week later. No matter, I returned the third set to Amazon. I rarely give a 1 start review at Amazon but I feel my experience with the Jabra 75t warrants a very low rating. Sorry BTW, after my third strikeout with the Jabra 75t, I bought the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2. So far, the Liberty Air 2 work great. These earbuds also have a beefier, fuller sound than the Jabra did. And with the Soundcore I can use both earbuds, or either earbud independently. There is also an Anker Soundcore app for those who like their earbuds to have an app.
