QuickBooks is needlessly complicated and full of add-on shake downs. I bought 2012, they expire after 3 years so you have to buy another one (not disclosed at purchase). Upgrading to the current version could not be more complex. They REALLY want me to store my financial data online with them and pay them monthly. "Cloud access from anywhere" Forgive me, but I am not comfortable with all of the hacking of data, having my financials 'accessed from anywhere'. I just want basic accounting software and I am willing to pay for the software, preferably once.
