So not so good!! Received the unit 9 days earlier. Packaging was very good. Assembling the wheels and lift bars were uneventful. Filled with oil (1.3 qts the manual did say) Tried to start it, battery was dead! BUT the pull start was easy!!! Runs very unevenly, with and out the "idle control". Let it run 30 minutes hoping the battery would change and the unit would worm up/break in. Battery barely changed and no improvement in running performance. Next morning- hoping running more and adding a load to the unit things would improve. Ran it 30 more minutes then connected to my house 220/30 connection - ran up, ran down... up down... up down. Lights in the house same thing... up down, up down. Since I live on the east coast I have to wait till 9am for technical support to open on the west coast. Will update this review as things occur After: Can not get the generator to run evenly. Called Tec (4 phone calls, total of an hr and 20 mins on hold) was told this is a common thing. Run it for 6-10 hours, should improve. Now it won't start Battery won't take a charge. Requested a return from Amazon. Have received label will see how that goes. I Have faith in Amazon 10-11-17 Update While waiting for return pickup I thought I would at least try to see what would running it more would do. It took me all day to get it started (5-6 attempts over 8 hours having to use the recoil start, no battery power). Finally got it started. Was still running unevenly. Out of curiosity I asked my mechanic neighbor to take a look at it. He was able to get it to run evenly by playing with the chock. I hooked up to my 50 amp house circuit and was able to power 95% of my house, including a 4 Ton AC (I had all circuits off except the AC while it powered up then turned on the other circuits. I would not recommend allowing the AC to circle on/off with any other circuits powered) Very satisfied with its power and thinking I may have over reacted about the initial problems, I tried to continue the break in progress. Over a 3 day period I could not get the unit started! Their must be a reason the reviews are average at best. Tec support is what disappointed me the most. All that said and done Amazon was awesome! Contacted them for a return authorization, had it within a few minutes and the unit was picked up 5 days later. I'm sure I'll see the refund in short order- Thanks Amazon
