Steer clear from the mail exchange program, unless you have hours to waste (with inept customer support) towards getting back half of what the store value of product is (or getting nothing). From what I gather (since Soda Stream is not capable to articulate their exchange program), the shipping cost, and more, is hidden in the exchange. Exchanging you empties at the local store will save you time and money.
