Liber horribilus - horrible book
This book earns Zero stars, The review will be long. Please bear with me. Caveat emptor. Buyer beware. Where do I start? I used to trust Rand McNally to give me quality maps for navigation across the country. The atlases used to be reader friendly. However, this isn't the case with this edition. We just took a 3,000 mile round trip from New Mexico to Oregon. I was helping my husband navigate and we ran into trouble right away. If you can see on the photos of Colorado State, It's divided into four pages. It's bisected into East and West Colorado, instead of bisecting it into a North-south direction, as it used to be the case. Same issue with Oregon and Utah. The worse part with Utah is not just the separation of the state: Sandwiched between the two eastern and western halves is an abomination of a page with a map of Salt Lake City and some other stuff. 🤷‍♀️ Check out the pictures. I don't recommend this book to anyone because it's badly designed, not user friendly and difficult to read. On a side note, Utah road signage is scanty and some signs are so very old, they've faded in the desert sun and are completely unreadable, we missed a couple of turns near four corners and in Cortez On another aside, the numbers of rest stops have increased; a happy surprise. I've missed my window so I won't be returning it. It'll make nice gift paper. On the other hand I can sell it for five or seven dollars plus shipping. Maybe some one will want it. Thanks for sticking around and reading to the end. Happy trails dear reader.
