After two months of sewing, the timing was all off. Since this was bought as an extra machine to supplement my embroidery and overlock machines, it was used very sparingly. Because of the difficulty in getting a reimbursement on warranty work, there are very few, if any, certified Singer repair shops. I paid less than $150.00 for this machine, and the cost to fix the timing is $90.00. Return shipping, etc. would cost more than the machine is worth so I am paying the repair costs and keeping the machine. Singer has been a reputable name in my sewing family for many years, but the quality has obviously gone downhill. From now on, I will stick with my Babylock machines and buy from a local reputable dealer. Check out your available options before buying Singer and/or buy from a nearby dealer who can solve your machine issues.
