I bought the first of these products five years ago and used it intermittently. It was mounted to a brick wall with lead anchors under our carport (protected from rain and direct sun) and it worked well for a time. Then one day three years ago it simply would not open, and could not open it no matter how many times I tried over a two day period. I figured that maybe I hit the combo reset switch by mistake and reset the combo. In the end I bashed it off the brick wall with a hammer and pried it open, then bought new one figuring it was user error. I installed the new box, set the combination, and opened it successfully maybe five times in the last two years. Today the same problem. Outside temp is 65ºF so expansion or contraction of the metal shouldn't be at fault. Numerous attempts to open the box and it would not unlock. Thoroughly disappointed with this mechanism design and or poor manufacturing. I would not recommend this product. It's worthless if you can't get into it when you need to.
