I bought this tarp because the price was fairly low for a 7 mil. 12' x 16' tarp. I usually use 5 mil tarps in the backyard to cover furniture, and spring for the more expensive 10 mil tarps for outdoor canopies, and I've had quite a few over the years. This is NOT a 7 mil tarp, and nowhere on the packaging does it state the thickness, which should be a red flag in itself. A quick check with a micrometer AND calipers and it looks like it's closer to 3 mil (my 5 and 10 mil tarps measured accurately at 5 and 10 mil). This confirms all of the other reviews that mention how flimsy this tarp is. No wonder it's so inexpensive, the vendor is misrepresenting the thickness and Amazon should take some sort of action. I am sending it back, and I would normally take the exchange option, maybe trade this tarp for the 12' x 16' 10 mil tarp by the same vendor (Dry Top), but of course how can I trust it will be 10 mil? I'll just get a refund, because after reading the reviews of their 10 mil tarp, it is most certainly misrepresented too.
