You'd think for the price it would work for more than 6 months, but that's not the case. I don't use a food processor often, maybe 2-3 times a week on average, and when it worked, it worked great. However, right around the 6 month mark, I noticed the motor seemed to be getting louder and louder. When I went to take the lid off, the blade came with it! It had turned in the "holder" in the lid so hard and fast that it melted the plastic and the shaft of the blade was stuck in it. I called Breville and got an exchange, figuring it was a fluke. The second one I got, on the second use, started to do the exact same thing so I stopped using it and called Breville again. They said they would not refund my money but would give me an exchange again. Why do I want that??? So I can get more plastic in my food??? Since it's past the Amazon return date, I guess I'll just keep returning and getting exchanges from Breville until they figure out it's not worth it. Save your money and don't buy this item.
