So, MC is given a VIP account as a present with two character re-rolls. First character is hosed by griefers and the second is then created. The problem is that the second character loses all the bonuses from the VIP account and suffers a massive penalty in stats as well. We don't see the character sheet for the second toon until about 20%. Before that we just keep reading that his stats are abysmal. Upon seeing the updated character sheet, I just couldn't read any more. The penalty was so high (30%+ on all stats) as to be enough to make most people quit playing the game. Only true addicts would continue. It was a good way to loose customers for the game. As for why the MC continued? Who knows why as it was never even obliquely mentioned after the second character was rolled. And to top it all off, this is supposed to be a super special ultra duper max account. Just don't understand and that dysfunction was enough to make reading any farther more hassle than I felt the story was worth. The writing was decent enough and the story line was OK but neither were good enough to over come my confusion at an illogical progression. As always, my rating is based upon personal enjoyment only.
