A once wonderful product destroyed by changing the formula. . . Obviously to make more money.
Magnesium is one of the cheapest supplements to produce and market and Natural Vitality has been overcharging for years for their expensive but effective Calm Magnesium product. However, it worked well for most people and so we were all willing to pay the high price. Now they have changed the product after decades of success. Altered from Magnesium Citrate to Magnesium Carbonate with a small amount of citric acid added in. I noticed the change in consistency and texture right away, but did not check the label until after using it for a few days. It did not help with regularity, sleep or calmed nerves as in the past and I noticed after a few days that something was wrong not only with appearance but with effectiveness. Checked the label, and sure enough, product modified to the even cheaper form of Magnesium. . . Mag Carbonate which is known to be nearly impossible to truly absorb. So now if you buy this product, 80% of it is flushing unused from your body, making it a ridiculously expensive supplement for the amount processed and a really bad buy. So Natural Vitality. . . thanks for ruining a great product. You have lost at least one loyal and long term customer and I imagine many more will follow. Why must greedy companies destroy the very product they made a fortune off of in order to make a bit more money? I hear that even NDs and Mds are now turning away from their former recommendation of this product. Now the search for a replacement product begins for me. If anyone can make a recommendation of a product that actually tastes and does what Calm used to do, would love your comment.
