Please note, Amazon appears to be removing one star reviews in a sad and pathetic effort to beef up the poor response to this show. They have removed 2 of my reviews so far. I gave this show a three episode trial At the end of that trial I stopped watching. I signed up for Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time. I am not going to spend any of my time in Wreck-It-Rafes Wheel of arrogance. The only thing he kept were names.... Every single other thing he so drastically changed that the source material is no longer recognizable. World rules, nations, character profiles, character descriptions, entrances, necessary plot threads, customs....every single thing he changed... Why purchase the rights to well loved fandom and then destroy everything about said fandom. This isn't an "adaptation".... This is a new world entirely with stolen character names... If he had just made this show and called it it's own name I probably would have been into it... It has good costumes, decent enough acting for most of the characters, and beautiful sets. (Though the writing and dialogue is sloppy and choppy in my opinion) I would have said "oh look, he is inspired by Robert Jordan. Isn't that nice" But he bait and switched us fans.... Hoping to beef up his initial viewership numbers most likely.... And he is ACTIVELY speaking about purposely angering the book fan base by killing off characters for no other reason than angering us. It is a travesty that the life's work of one of America's greatest story tellers was put into such disrespectful hands. In my opinion Rafe Jenkins should never be allowed to work in the industry again. And I say for the record that I personally will NEVER allow anything he touches in my house. Anything that has his name attached to it is as dead to me as of it never existed.
