Waste of time
Wow, really weak story from a guy who has written some of my fave novels in the past. What happened? I almost never leave a bad review because I can find something I like - character, setting, pace, quips - something! But, this was a bad Odd Thomas / By the Light of the Moon takeoff. A bad Saturday Night Live sketch of a Koontz book. Couldn't even finish it. Got to page 300 and called the time of death. And I had looked forward to this one for so long. Everything was just...yuck! Bad pacing, bad dialogue. And just for the record "shapen" is Not A Real Word. And like nothing happens - nothing at all. It does not take 250 pages to sell two cars.
